Funding supports organizations meeting the basic needs of vulnerable populations in Central Indiana

The Central Indiana COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund (C-CERF) issued a third round of funding totaling $4 million to 56 human services organizations on May 12. The purpose of this round of funding is to help organizations provide the basic needs of shelter, food, utility assistance, childcare, transportation, and legal services (for eviction and unemployment insurance appeals).

Combined with two previous rounds of grants made since March 24, the C-CERF has now distributed more than $15.8 million to 100 organizations in Central Indiana.

The Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation is pleased to be one of the founding contributors to C-CERF and is grateful for United Way of Central Indiana’s critical role administering the Fund. Visit www.covid-19cerf.org to learn more.
