Community Foundation Internship (CFI) Application

IPA's Community Foundation Internship (CFI) program is made possible by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. under its GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) initiative for Indiana community foundations.

Community foundations meeting eligibility requirements may request up $26,160 to cover student internships from January 2023 to December 2024.

Community foundations should submit new applications every semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) for each student intern hired. Applications should be submitted before the student’s start date at the foundation for the semester, and no later than two weeks after they begin work. Payment is released at the end of the internship on a reimbursement basis, upon approval of your final report. You have the opportunity to adjust your grant request on your report to accurately reflect the intern’s actual hours worked.
