Last month, the Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) Board of Directors approved over $81,000 in Community Impact grants to 24 organizations serving the entirety of Hendricks County. These grants were made possible by the Deedee Daniel Opportunity Fund—HCCF’s largest Community Enhancement Fund—and by contributions from 69 Family Legacy Funds created by local families to support Hendricks County for generations to come.

“Ranging from adult education, to local health and human services nonprofits, to innovative new youth and family programs, these projects will impact lives in every corner of Hendricks County,” said Eric Hessel, Vice President of Programs.

This flexible grant program is designed to meet the changing needs of nonprofits and the people they serve. It provides ongoing, unrestricted funding that enables organizations to respond to community challenges as they arise.

One Family Legacy Fund representative said, “I’m grateful that HCCF stays abreast of the needs in our community and that our family will always have the ability, through this community enhancement fund, to make a difference for other families right here in Hendricks County.”
