Greene County Foundation Welcomes New Leader

Greene County Foundation based in Bloomfield, Indiana, has appointed Sherri Knieriem has its new executive director.

Knieriem brings extensive marketing, program management, and advancement operations background specifically in foundation environments. She most recently served as associate director of marketing and annual giving at the Indiana University Foundation, where she worked for over 20 years.

“I am looking forward to meeting our current and future donors in person," said Knieriem. "It is truly inspiring how forward thinking and insightful these folks are in making local impact now and into the future.”

Knieriem is experienced at leading teams, managing budgets, and marketing efforts that drive organizational awareness and branding. She was integral in helping create, manage, and implement award-winning work in advertising, publications, and interactive media. Knieriem has been active in her community as a board member of Owen County YMCA, a licensed foster parent, and a 9-year team leader for the IU Foundation United Way campaign.

Knieriem earned both her B.S., Marketing & M.I.S., Informatics & Computing degrees from Indiana University Bloomington. A Daviess County native, Knieriem is married and has three school-age children.
