Welborn Baptist Foundation announces the launch of its 2019 funding cycle in the Christ-Centered Living Community Impact Area beginning Monday, March 11th.

The Welborn Baptist Foundation is committed to investing in nonprofits and collaborations that promote Christ-Centered Living while meeting critical needs to achieve the following community changes:

  • More Christians will contribute to a flourishing community as an outgrowth of their faith
  • More people will orient their lives toward Christ and more residents will flourish in their communities
  • More people will hear and embrace Christ and His salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus

Furthermore, the Foundation supports the work of faith-based nonprofits and their collaborations through two main priorities:

  • Gospel Lived – Increasing opportunities for all to learn about the love of Christ and to benefit from Christ-centered programs and services
  • Gospel Leveraged – Transforming communities through Christ-led collaborative efforts

“The Foundation has long supported the important work of Christian, faith-based nonprofits and is excited to continue our support,” says Amy Hanson, Program Associate for Christ-Centered Living.

Potential applicants are encouraged to review related Foundation resources prior to submitting inquiries. The 2016 Community Faith Survey and the 2017 White Paper on Community Approaches for Advancing Faith in the Tri-State Region were both produced for the Foundation by Barna Group, the nation’s leading faith research organization. “Equipped with these resources, applicants will better understand the region’s faith profile, strengths and opportunities, as well as the Foundation’s priorities in this funding area,” says Elizabeth Tharp, Senior Program & Learning Officer.

The Foundation’s grant process will be conducted exclusively online. Organizations whose Inquiries are approved will be invited to submit formal proposals, with grant recipients being announced in November 2019.
