Addressing the Complexities of Poverty: A Case Study of Collaboration
Learn about a collaborative public-private-philanthropic partnership that has created a new manufacturing facility on the near northeast side of Indianapolis. The $15 million facility, which seeks to employ up to 200 area residents, is owned by Central Indiana Community Foundation, operated by Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana, and produces medical devices for Cook Medical. The employees work for Goodwill, which also provides wraparound service such as mental and physical health support, substance abuse support, soft skills training, and housing stabilization for those in need.
