In October 2018, Lilly Endowment Inc. announced GIFT VII, a major new initiative for community foundations. Lilly Endowment has supported the development and growth of Indiana community foundations for over 25 years.
A significant new element of this initiative is a focus on community leadership. In 2019, each community foundation will receive at least $50,000 for community leadership planning work. The Endowment is also open to community foundations using some of the grant for internal capacity building in preparation for community leadership work.
You may utilize the sample press release to announce your local community foundation internship program. The template should be modified to reflect your local city, foundation, contact information and other details aobut your specific internship program. You can modify The What is a Community Foundation PowerPoint Presentation to make it foundation specific. You must also save both files to your local drive before modifying them.
