A lot of attention these days is being directed to how foundations can help to navigate and lessen the power dynamics between grantmakers and grantees. As grantmakers, it can be easy for us to forget what it’s like to be on the other side of the table—to be asking for funds.
Examine Agency Funds —both the development opportunities they provide and the complexities in managing them—in this interview-style session featuring experts and practitioners. While these funds can build community capacity and engage new donors, there is also the potential for problems if your organization lacks proper accounting procedures and recordkeeping. You’ll leave the session with a better understanding of how to avoid those pitfalls and maximize the benefits of these important tools.
