After taking a destructive path through the Caribbean, Hurricane Irma made landfall in the Florida Keys on September 10. It wreaked havoc as it moved through the state of Florida. States of Emergency were issued in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Howard County disaster relief funds

Two disaster relief funds were created to help victims of the recent severe weather events in Howard County. Donations can be made to The Community Foundation of Howard County and the United Way of Howard County. 

United Way of Howard County, Inc. is accepting donations either online http://unitedwayhoco.org/ or mailed to United Way of Howard County, Inc., 210 W. Walnut St., Kokomo, IN  46901.
