Purdue Extension’s Community Development team offers a 90-minute online workshop called Leading Better Virtual Meetings. This interactive workshop provides very practical guidance for facilitating more engaging meetings online. Bringing concepts of facilitative leadership and our experience working with a variety of groups and teams online, this workshop will provide community leaders an opportunity to think about how to connect and work better with boards, committees and teams through virtual meetings.

Participants of the workshop will:

  • Understand the importance of building connections for better participant engagement;
  • Learn ideas for being inclusive of participants with varying levels of technology or technological comfort;
  • Gain techniques for fostering generative discussion around an issue; and
  • Practice tools for virtual decision-making.

Members of the general public can register for an open workshop of Leading Better Virtual Meetings for $15 per person.
