IPA’s 2019 statewide 28 Places in Just 6 Months tour has taken us from Plymouth to New Albany, Huntingburg to Fort Wayne, Merrillville to Evansville, and back around several more times. But, we are not finished yet. The IPA team has been pleased to deliver programming that is inspiring upstream, root-cause solutions to the toughest problems of today. It is also our honor to facilitate policy conversations between our members and key public officials through our ongoing legislative lunch series.

I am personally most appreciative of the investment over 125 of you made in the IPA strategic plan by participating in our seven focus groups held around the state. This opportunity to hear directly from you was well-timed with my arrival at IPA, and what we learned will inform everything we do moving forward.

Take for instance our latest newsletter. In the focus groups, we learned that you are interested in receiving more curated information from the field that can elevate your practice. We have responded by including references to more stories that can spark new ideas. But, this is just the beginning. Expect to see our work evolve to provide more of what you requested. You will see new opportunities to connect and collaborate with one another, increased focus by us on telling your stories to the larger public, and the expansion of IPA membership to the diverse philanthropic community.

Stay tuned over the next few months as the IPA strategic plan comes into focus. It is certain to address the needs of the field and elevate the work of IPA to inspire our members in ways that advance our collective work for the common good.
