The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today that 33 creative entrepreneurs throughout the state will receive funding for their business goals through the agency’s On-Ramp 2019 Fellowship.

The fellows are part of the 2019 On-Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator. After completing a three-day course led by arts entrepreneurship trainer Elaine Grogan Luttrull, each participant was eligible to request up to $2,000 to implement their newly honed career goals, business skills, and community engagement learning.

2019 On-Ramp fellow Olivia Ulch said, “Like most creatives, I have experienced stress relating to financial knowledge, business law, marketing skills, and overall personal confidence in my perceived value in society as a creative. Course leader Elaine Grogan Luttrull’s uniquely specific creative entrepreneur teachings have alleviated those fears. My toolbox was topped off with access to a powerful diverse artist network among my fellow classmates; who mutually vowed to provide future support and accountability.”

Panels of experienced Hoosier creative entrepreneurs reviewed and provided advice to strengthen the fellowship proposals. The 33 On-Ramp 2019 Fellowship grants, totaling $66,000, were among 431 funding recommendations approved June 14, 2019 during the Commission’s Quarterly Business Meeting in Indianapolis.

A complete listing of the On-Ramp 2019 Fellowship recipients and their project descriptions can be found here.
