Awards of up to $450 are available through the Bell Grants program. All Delaware County teachers are invited to apply during any of the four grant cycles. Teachers may apply online at cfmdin.org. Application deadlines are September 1, November 1, February 1, and April 1 annually.

In 2016, The Community Foundation established the Robert P. Bell Teacher Grants Fund to permanently endow the program to ensure that teachers have access to funds to help engage their students in meaningful ways for years to come. Individuals can contribute to the fund to memorialize a special teacher, honor a retiring teacher or teacher celebrating a work anniversary, or to simply show their support for K-12 education in Delaware County. Additional information about this program and online giving options are available at cfmdin.org. Foundation staff may also be contacted at 765-747-7181.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. is a publicly supported philanthropic organization governed by a volunteer board of local citizens. The Foundation manages contributions donated by individuals, businesses and corporations as a permanent community endowment. Distributions from these funds are given back to the community in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations and agencies. To date, more than $47 million has been awarded to enrich the lives of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
