Senior Director of Information Technology and Facility Operations- The role involves strategizing, leading, and administering the Foundation's Information Technology Systems to ensure they are secure, cost-effective, and meet evolving decision-making needs. What We’re Looking For: The role involves strategizing, leading, and administering the Foundation's Information Technology Systems to ensure they are secure, cost-effective, and meet evolving decision-making needs. It also includes managing facilities planning, operations, and maintenance for all Collaborative-owned properties. Given the access to sensitive information and operational plans, maintaining strict ethical standards and confidentiality is crucial for this position.

 

Responsibilities 

The following functions have been determined by the Foundation to be essential to the successful performance of this position:

1. Lead the Collaborative by providing strategic direction and thought leadership in leveraging cutting-edge technology and knowledge management practices. Establish and refine business and operational requirements, translating them into innovative, effective solutions that drive organizational success.

2. Oversee facilities planning, operations, and maintenance for all Collaborative-owned properties. Manage tenant leases and collaborate with the Director of Facilities on renovation projects, building systems maintenance, access and security systems, emergency communication procedures, and parking lot lease agreements.

3. Oversee, manage, and enhance all facets of information, voice, and technology systems, encompassing operations, maintenance, security, research, and product analysis. Lead the selection, integration, and implementation of technology solutions while negotiating and managing relationships with suppliers, consultants, service vendors, and staff.

4. Assess the organization's compliance with federal IT security standards and conduct Cybersecurity Awareness Training for all staff. Develop and oversee backup and disaster recovery plans, ensuring adherence to top cybersecurity practices and protocols.

5. Develop and implement a comprehensive training curriculum for system use, tailored to new hires and providing ongoing education for current staff. Establish evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness of system usage and identify additional training needs.

6. Develop and implement an information systems framework aligned with CICF's strategic goals. Anticipate future network and software requirements, creating forward-thinking

solutions to meet those needs. Stay up-to-date with technological advancements across systems and hardware, advising on potential future systems for the foundation.

7. Manage the Foundation's technology equipment and supplies inventory, including conducting audits, negotiating acquisitions and maintenance contracts, and maintaining relationships with consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Lead market research and product evaluations to ensure optimal technology solutions.

8. Develop and manage annual IT budget, including all corresponding financial transactions. Monitor technology expenditures against budget, ensuring procurement of quality products and services at optimal costs. Generate regular financial reports as needed.

9. Supervise all technology contractors who provide supplementary services to the Foundation, which encompasses assigning projects, monitoring scope of work performance and quality, and addressing complex issues when needed. Conduct equitable processes to include (Minority) XBE Vendors for all projects.

10. Keeps all IT Policy documentation current and updated.

11. Oversee IT functional areas and staff, ensuring effective information and technology management. Supervise productivity software and data management system teams. Provide training and support to maintain high user satisfaction with IT systems and tools.

12. Maintain a strong relationship with and oversee our Managed Services Provider (MSP), including recurring meetings with virtual CIO and evaluating their performance.

13. Support for staff, systems and special events at multiple offices and locations

14. All other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job:

1. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

2. Understanding and adherence to high standards of ethics and confidentiality.

3. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

4. Minimum of seven (7) years' experience including direct management of a major information technology operation; project management, not-for-profit cost accounting, and staff supervision.

5. Extensive knowledge of computer software, hardware, networking infrastructure, servers, data backup, telephone systems, and office user applications. Proven experience with Office 365, including proficiency in Exchange, SharePoint Intranets, Active Directory, and security features. Must demonstrate comprehensive understanding of diverse IT systems and ability to manage complex technological environments.

6. Knowledge of endpoint devices (laptops, server, routers, access points) and knowledge of local and cloud networks, operating systems, and productivity software programs.

7. Prior expertise in the following systems is highly preferred: Salesforce, Meraki, Papercut (printer management), Crestron, CrowdStrike, OKTA (SSO), Level365 (VoIP), domain controllers, and print servers.

8. Experience reviewing monitor logs, audit trails, and other security warnings.

9. Experience with website hosting, DNS records, and email deliverability best practices.

10. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with others professionally and appropriately, including discussing multiple concepts with others.

11. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work independently with little supervision.

12. Excellent organizational and workload prioritizing skills, excellent conceptual and analytical skills; ability to research and analyze data and information.

13. Ability to organize, facilitate, and manage projects in an efficient and effective manner. Experience utilizing project management tools and/or ticketing systems is highly preferred.

14. Ability to be “on-call”, working evenings and weekends as necessary.

15. Ability to travel between multiple office locations and attend off premise events. Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.

16. Physical agility for bending, stooping, twisting, and working overhead. Position involves bending down or stooping down to lift boxes or other items weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance; climbing stairs and ladders up to a height of 20 ft.; and the ability with assistance to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
