Healthcare Foundation of La Porte (HFL) is a private foundation created from the sale of IU Health La Porte Hospital. Founded in 2016, HFL works to empower residents to live healthy and well in La Porte County, Indiana, through grantmaking, capacity building of nonprofits, and education in the new, state-of-the-art Conference & Learning Center (C&LC). Our vision is for La Porte County to be among Indiana’s top ten healthiest communities by 2030.
This full time (40 hrs.) position coordinates activities related to the Board of Directors and its committees, including preparing meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes; maintains records, policies, and procedures; processes complex documents; coordinates all contracts for facilities maintenance, including scheduling all equipment maintenance and building services; and provides administrative support to the CEO.
Education & Experience - Minimum Requirements:
2-4 years of administrative support experience.
Minimum of an associate degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; a professional, friendly, and respectful communication style in person, on the phone, and through email.
Experience with meeting coordination, creating agendas, and preparing minutes.
Experience and very skilled with Outlook calendars and email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other platforms; and running AV equipment.
Familiarity with network-based computer file management, databases, and data management; willingness and aptitude to become proficient with new software.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The job operates in a professional work environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, Microsoft Suite, databases, phones, photocopiers, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other communications platforms and AV equipment.
