Alliance for a Healthier Indiana

The Alliance for a Healthier Indiana was created to tackle Indiana's key public health issues like tobacco use, obesity, infant mortality and opioid abuse. It is their goal to bring together health care leaders, employers, policymakers, educators, funders, insurers and more to make Indiana healthier. “Know the O Facts” is a user-friendly website developed by FSSA that pulls together lots of different information about addiction, opioids, prevention, treatment, data, etc. This website has numerous links that touch on most every point relevant to this disease and the crisis associated with it.

Fairbanks Foundation, a private, independent foundation located in Indianapolis, recently focused a portion of its grantmaking on two primary causes of Indiana’s negative health outcomes: opioid prescription drug/heroin addiction, and tobacco use.
