At the request of our northern colleagues, GIFT has added a Boot Camp that will be held in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is in addition to the Fall Boot Camp that will be held in September in Indianapolis.
Boot Camp is extensive two-day training for community foundation staff and board members.The purpose of Boot Camp is to provide an overview of the structure and operations of a community foundation. Boot Camp covers eight topics and takes twelve hours to complete. Boot Camp covers the following topics:
- Community Foundation Overview
- Fund Management
- Asset Development
- Finance and Investments
- Grantmaking and Community Leadership
- Operational Sustainability
- Community Foundation Lifecycles
$50.00 per person and includes meals, snacks and materials for both days.
Free parking is availabile in the lot directly in front of the Community Foundation.

There must be at least 20 registrants by October 18, 2017 for Boot Camp to take place in Fort Wayne. Final registration deadline is Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
