Facilitate your meetings like a pro.
SPACE LIMITED - REGISTER NOW!
Join IPA and Purdue Extension for a three-day retreat that focuses on creating an inclusive culture of collaborative learning in teams, communities, and organizations. It is for both new and experienced leaders, managers, facilitators, and graduate students who would like to develop or improve their facilitation skills. It is designed to build and strengthen the skills and personal confidence necessary to lead and facilitate productive meetings.
During this retreat-style workshop, participants will practice leadership strategies using the tools, techniques and verbal skills necessary to lead group discussions, reach consensus, set outcome-based goals and use recording tools. Process tools for brainstorming, analyzing ideas, decision-making, and planning will be shared.
Class size is limited to 24 people and open only to IPA members or their boards. The limited size allows time for everyone to receive coaching and feedback in small groups. Due to the focused nature of the workshop, those joining are asked to participate fully in the three days—without phone calls, meetings, or other interruptions that diminish the learning experience for all.
- Day 1: December 8 (9:30 am — 8:15 pm EST)
- Day 2: December 9 (8:00 am — 8:00 pm EST)
- Day 3: December 10 (8:15 am — 2:45 pm EST)
The course also includes an introductory webinar.
"This training gave me confidence and left me feeling equipped to facilitate productive meetings in any setting. These are usable, practical and irreplaceable skills that everyone should have if they host meetings of any kind."
—Alison Gerardot, CFRM, Vice President of Philanthropic Services & Women’s Fund Coordinator, Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne
