Development and Stewardship Deep Dive Day will focus on the importance of stewardship in developing planned gifts. The goal for the day is to provide participants with ideas and tools on how to improve or begin their planned giving programs, including:

  • ways to engage board members in stewardship;
  • ways to use planned gifts to grow your foundation;
  • how to understand which donors are planned gift candidates;
  • how to prepare your foundation in developing a planned giving program; and
  • where to find and how to utilize outsourced planned giving marketing materials.

Participants will also hear from a panel of community foundation staff members who use various outsourced planned giving marketing materials. They will discuss how they have implemented planned giving and stewardship programs through successful Legacy Societies and Planned Giving Councils.  Participants will have plenty of time for questions and networking.

This event is designed for community and public foundation executive directors, board members, development and administrative staff members.

Bryan is also the Senior Partner at Ekstrom Alley Clontz & Associates. For the decade prior to joining Ekstrom & Associates, Bryan Clontz served as the Vice President of Advancement at The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and the National Director of Planned Giving for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  Ekstrom Alley Clontz & Associates is a management consulting firm of seasoned professionals that has been advising philanthropic foundations, organizations, corporations, and individuals across the US and around the globe since 1997.  They believe effective philanthropy is about setting and achieving clear objectives. They do this by collaborating with planned giving professionals to create programs that cultivate, educate and motivate donors.
